Outbound Sales Executive (Lead Generation & Cold Calling)

U-Drive are recruiting for an ambitious Outbound Sales Executive (Lead Generation & Cold Calling) who will play a crucial role in driving the next phase of growth for our forward-thinking vehicle hire business by generating leads and converting them into customers through proactive cold calling and other sales outreach activities- the perfect opportunity for a driven and dynamic self-starter with a passion for sales and a hunger to surpass targets.

The Role

As an Outbound Sales Executive, you'll be a crucial part of our Sales function and essential to our growth.  You’ll be driving brand awareness of our services and commercial vehicles to a full range of businesses, keeping our portfolio of clients varied and profitable. You’ll be comfortable prospecting clients, handling, and chasing leads, cold calling, and being the primary point of contact for B2B growth. Your success will be measured by how successful you are in achieving your targets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify potential leads through innovative research and lateral thinking, utilising various channels, including online research, databases, industry events, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads to fuel our growth, maximising the fleet we have within a 20-mile radius of existing locations, working closely with the Branch Managers to maximise Branch sales potential.
  • Proactively reach out to potential customers through cold calling to introduce our vehicle rental services, engaging prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and show how we can supply tailored solutions.
  • Use email, social media such as LinkedIn, and other outreach tools to follow up with leads and nurture relationships.
  • Schedule and conduct follow-up calls, meetings, or demonstrations to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Educate prospects on the benefits of our services and the additional support we can provide.
  • Consistently meet and exceed targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system to ensure that lead and customer information is kept up-to-date and is used effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Actively collaborate with the account management, marketing, fleet and EV teams to align on messaging and promotional activities.
  • Provide feedback from the field to help improve our service offerings and sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, sharing market insights and recommendations with the team to enhance our market position.

About You

  • A born salesperson, gregarious in nature and able to demonstrate success in lead generation with a results-driven approach.
  • Proven experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive or vehicle rental industry, or Plant/Tool hire.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade a range of potential customers.
  • Excellent, proven cold-calling skills with a persuasive and confident phone manner and a resilience to objections.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and tailor sales pitches accordingly.
  • A Full UK driver's license.
