Established 42 years ago, U-Drive is a family run company. With 8 branches and a fleet of over 4,000 vehicles, U-Drive is considered the largest wholly independent vehicle rental company in the Southwest. We are currently looking to recruit a positive and friendly individual with a ‘Can do’ attitude. Reporting into the Fleet Sales Manager you will work a 42.5-hour week, and will be providing an efficient service to maximise vehicle hire sales by converting customer enquiries into reservations.

About the Role

As vehicles arrive from our rental branches for defleet, you will be responsible for the removal of signwriting, jet washing the exterior and the cleaning & vacuuming of the interior. You will then complete a PDI checklist, take quality marketing photographs & record a detailed appraisal video.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for sale by removing signwriting using a heat gun
• Clean vehicles to the standards required and remove any other evidence of U-Drive brand
• Machine polish/mop
• ​Carry out basic remedial repairs, for example changing wheels, fitting body mouldings or spraying wing mirror backings
• Photograph and video vehicles for marketing purposes Use our vehicle management system to track progress Move and park vehicles carefully in allocated areas
• Collect vehicles from other U-Drive branches as required
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including keeping work area clean and tidy and maintaining internal branch cleanliness
• Keep yard and spaces clean and clear of rubbish, litter and weeds

About you

You will be self-motivated, have an excellent eye for detail, taking pride in your work and be able to work independently using initiative.

Whilst a sound general knowledge of vehicle cleaning is preferred, training will be provided so your character and attitude is more important than experience.

You must also have a full UK driving licence. Can you bring added value to the role with experience in Smart Repairs, Fibreglass Repairs, Basic Body Repairs or do you have a category C or D1 Driving Licence?
