Meet Sarah, our Head of Marketing for U-Drive:

How long have you worked for U-Drive?

I've worked for U-Drive twice! I set up the marketing department back when I first started in 2015, then left for a few years to work for a global company, before returning more than 2 and a half years ago to support U-Drive's growth into a national company.

Which part of your role do you enjoy the most?

I love the variety I have in my role. We take care of our company websites, social media channels, PR, advertising, branding, internal and external communications, video production, photography, the company intranet and more. We recently created a studio at our Head Office to record video podcasts and held a Q&A with the U-Drive Directors, which was great fun and well received. Coming up with creative ways to deliver content on different channels and engage different audiences is an interesting and ongoing challenge.

What is it like to work in your team?

We have a small, but growing, marketing team and work closely together and with external agencies when needed. We collaborate on projects and brainstorm ideas, but then can go away and get on with the work that needs to be done. We regroup to review and support each other and are constantly learning how to improve results and achieve our targets as a team. As individuals, we bring different skills and strengths and so we work really effectively as a team.

What do you like about working for U-Drive? 

I really enjoy managing the marketing for U-Drive and how supportive the Directors are for us to try new ideas. We are encouraged to take ownership, innovate, and treat failure as a learning opportunity, so we are continually making progress. And we are always given the right tools and training required to get the job done.
